A space for what has yet to be said.

I am a clinical psychologist working from a psychoanalytic approach. I work with adults, couples, and families going through moments of distress, difficult transitions, or questions about themselves that daily life does not answer.

My work has taken place in clinical and institutional settings, accompanying crisis situations, anxiety and mood disorders, relational difficulties, grief, and questions about personality and the meaning of one's own life.

Alongside private practice, I remain actively engaged in teaching, research, and clinical supervision.

Background
Approach

What psychoanalytic therapy actually involves.

Psychoanalysis starts from a simple idea: what causes us to suffer often says something we have not yet been able to hear. Therapy is a space to put into words that which repeats itself — in our bonds, in our symptoms, in our decisions — and to begin to understand it.

I do not work with formulas or quick techniques to eliminate symptoms. Anxiety, sadness, conflicts with others, or the difficulty of making decisions are not failures to be corrected — they are messages worth reading. Sometimes with calm, sometimes with discomfort, always with respect for the time and history of each person.

What I offer is a space of sustained, confidential listening, where what you bring can be said and thought without rush. That is the invitation: to understand how, why, and to what end something repeats itself in your life, and from there —as much as possible— to build better ways, always particular, of continuing on.

Some questions only begin to take shape in the presence of someone who listens.

FAQ

Before you begin.

I've never been to therapy. How do I start?

Writing to me through any channel is enough. The first session is precisely for that: what brings you, getting to know each other, resolving any questions you have, and deciding without pressure whether you want to begin a process.

How long does a process last?

Depende de cada caso. Algunos procesos son cortos y se orientan a una situación puntual; otros se sostienen por más tiempo porque el trabajo va abriendo capas. Esto es algo que se puede decidir en el camino, cerrando el proceso en cualquier etapa de este.

Does online therapy work as well as in-person?

Sí, muchos procesos se sostienen enteramente online sin dificultad, con las mismas condiciones de escucha, confidencialidad y presencia aun en la distancia.

Is everything we talk about confidential?

Yes. Confidentiality is essential to clinical practice, protected by Colombian professional codes and law, and observed with the same rigor expected in international clinical practice. It is only lifted in the strict exceptions the law contemplates (serious risk to one's own life or to others').

Do you work with insurance?

La consulta es privada. En estos momentos no tengo vinculación con EPS ni medicina prepagada.

How are cancellations handled?

Cancellations with more than 24 hours' notice are not charged. Within that window, the full session fee applies, except for unforeseen situations that we discuss case by case.
